NAC adds to the excitement at FASHKOSH 2019

As the first airshow in Stellenbosch in four years, FASHKOSH 2019 – held on 23 March – will go down in the books as a resounding success. With all 5 000 tickets sold out prior to the start of the show, aviation enthusiasts were in for a treat with precision formation aerobatic displays, daredevil skydivers and a variety of vendors and entertainment.

NAC attended in full force, bringing four fixed wing aircraft and a Bell 407 helicopter, which is usually based at NAC Helicopters at Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. The NAC team, comprising of JP Fourie, Deneys Potgieter, Colin Fletcher and Deon Wentzel, hosted approximately 100 special guests and members of the NAC family in the beautiful NAC VIP Hangar, generously provided by the Steenkamp family. NAC guests were treated to a fantastic selection of wine from the Stellenbosch region, supplied by boutique wine estate, Webersburg, and South Africa’s premium red wine estate, Rust en Vrede.

Outside on the airfield, spectators were wowed by NAC’s Piper Mirage, flown by JP Fourie, and an impressive display of helicopter flying by Alister Brown in the NAC Bell 407.

Deon Wentzel, was incredibly impressed with the event, commenting, “FASHKOSH 2019 was a fantastic opportunity for NAC to introduce aviators to some of our aircraft and we’d like to thank the Stellenbosch Flying Club for their excellent organisation and the great hospitality provided throughout the weekend.”
